In yet another local case, two men have men arrested and charged with selling heroin to a South Jersey man who died.
Police in Ship Bottom, on Long Beach Island say two men from Atlantic County have been arrested following a long investigation of the death of a 40-year-old man back on April 15, 2018.
According to police, "It was determined that Levi Brown, 32, of Egg Harbor Township and Ronald Parrish, 62, of Pleasantville were the source of the Heroin which was ruled to be the direct cause of death of the victim by the Ocean County Medical Examiner. Both subjects are currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail."
Police say both men have been charged with Strict Liability for a Drug-Induced Death, Manufacturing and Distribution of Heroin, and Possession of Heroin.
Police say this is the second time Brown has been charged under the Strict Liability law. He was also charged in 2009, shortly after the law was enacted.
Both are being held in the Ocean County Jail.
