The flashmob I told you about yesterday on the beach in Atlantic City was to honor a local magician who beat leukemia twice!

Family, friends and complete strangers headed to Atlantic City yesterday to participate in a flashmob that was all a part of a contest with ABC News.

Chad Juros is a resident of EHT, a magician, and a cancer survivor!  His mom, Penny, entered him in a contest with 'Good Morning America' called "Above and Beyond."  Juros won out of 100 contestants!

According to the Press of Atlantic City,

"Juros was selected because of his Spread the Magic Foundation, a program that provides magic shows for pediatric oncology wards, where children stay during cancer treatment. It was the same thing his father did when Juros fought cancer, but his father later died from a malignant brain tumor."

Juros was diagnosed with leukemia, for the first time, at age 3.  He relapsed at age 7.  He ended up at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for 17 months while he battled cancer again.

He won.

Again.

The flashmob gathered and formed a deck of cards on the beach to honor Juros!  Hopefully, the whole scene will air on ABC soon!

And of course, Cat Country was on the beach in front of Bally's for all of the fun!
