How to Be Trendy on a Budget
Anytime there is a new trend in the fashion world I go through the same phase. Immediately, I hate it and don’t understand why people would wear whatever it is. Then, after a few week, I’m searching high and low for the trend. I can’t bring myself to spend a lot of money on one article of clothing, especially when it will be off trend in a short while. I am a boujee on a budget kind of girl.
Thank goodness I have been able to find those perfect pieces that make people ask me where I got it, to which I can respond with how little I’ve actually spent on it. I love the slack-jawed reaction to the price. Right now all things ‘90s are on trend, fortunately for us budget queens Target’s Wild Fable fulfills all of the VSCO girls’ dreams.

Ripped Mom Jeans
I am currently wearing these jeans as I’m writing this. These jeans are mega comfortable, plus mom jeans are on trend. I am so happy that slowly, but surely skinny jeans are on their way out. I hate super tight fitting pants.
- 2
Sherpa Pea Coat
Sherpa has been on trend the past few years, it helps that it’s warm and cozy too.
- 3
Velvet Jumpsuit
I feel like I’m in the minority when I say I LOVE jumpsuits. I don’t mind that I end up pretty much naked when I go to the bathroom. Velvet is another trendy fabric that I wore a lot in the ‘90s.

Corduroy Dress
Did anyone else where these as a kid with a bodysuit? I hated bodysuits then and I hate them now. I will never not hate the snaps. However, this dress is super cute.

Mini Backpack
Am I going through my wardrobe to find items for this list? Yup. I’ve been using a mini backpack for about a year now, I love the convenience and hands free aspect of it.
- 6
Barrettes
Yet another item I currently have on. I love these barrettes. I do wish I kept the ones I had as a kid.
- 7
Fanny Pack
These are just convenient and I hope they never go back out of style.
- 8
Scrunchies
You know what’s great about scrunchies? They don’t pull your hair out with them when you take them out.
- 9
Cropped Hoodie
You bet your bottom dollar I am currently wearing this hoodie in orange. It’s my go-to.

Tie Dye Shirt
If you’re not a DIY diva and don’t feel like making your own tie dye clothes, Wild Fable’s got your covered with a wide variety of tie dye.
