Young Area Car-Jacking Suspects Released From Custody After Four Days

3 youth from Atlantic City and Pleasantville, who put a gun to a taxi-drivers head, then stole his vehicle, have been released from a local youth detention center after three days.

Local residents are not happy with the decision.

According to Township of Hamilton Police, the three car-jacked the taxi in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 12th. Shortly after, they were apprehended in Mays Landing and sent to Harborfields Youth Detention Center.

Police say that after 4 days, the boys were released, each with a Home Electronic Detention System.

Police also report that the same 3 were found driving a stolen car in Pleasantville back in February.
